Google for Education Login Procedure

Login Through the Web

Step 1

Navigate to g.mssm.edu and enter email address, then click "Next".  You will be directed to the Mount Sinai’s Azure Login page as displayed below. Enter your email and Click "Next", followed by a brief redirect page.

Step 2

Upon reaching the Mount Sinai Azure Login Page, your email address will be automatically populated. Input your password and click "Sign In". If you hold multiple roles at Mount Sinai, ensure to adjust the domain to reflect your primary role. For instance, if you are both a full-time staff member and a student, switch the domain from icahn.mssm.edu to mssm.edu. 

Step 3

If you are off-campus and not connected to the Mount Sinai network, you will need to enter a security code obtained from your Symantec VIP application. If you haven't registered a Symantec VIP application yet, please follow the instructions provided in the VIP Registration/VPN Setup tab above.

Step 4

Gmail will open when successfully authenticated.

Gmail Login Through the Apple Mail

Step 1

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account, then select Google from the list of options.

Step 2

You will be prompted to "Use Google.com to Sign In", press Continue.

Step 3

Sign in with your Google email credentials.

Step 4

Afterward, you will be directed to the Mount Sinai Azure Login page, as displayed below. Enter your email, click "Next", and proceed to a brief redirect page. 

Step 5

You'll be directed to the Mount Sinai Azure Login Page. Your email address will already be filled in. Simply enter your password and click "Sign In". If you hold multiple roles at Mount Sinai, make sure to switch the domain to your primary role. For example, if you're both a full-time staff member and a student, change the domain from icahn.mssm.edu to mssm.edu. 

Step 6

Step 7

Upon successful authentication, you will be prompted to select options based on your preferences, then gmail will open.
