Google for Education Login Procedure

Gmail Login Through the Web

Step 1

Go to g.mssm.edu and enter email address, then click next.  You will then be brought to the Mount Sinai’s Azure Login page shown below. Enter your email and Click Next and you will see a brief redirect page.

Step 2

You will now see the Mount Sinai Azure Login Page.  Your email address will be prefilled.  Enter your password and click Sign In.  If you have two roles at Mount Sinai, be sure to change the domain to your primary role. (Ex: you have a full time position at Mount Sinai and are also a student, you would change the domain from icahn.mssm.edu to mssm.edu).

Step 3

If you are not on campus on the Mount Sinai network you will be prompted to enter the security code you obtain from your Symantec VIP application.  If you do not have a registered Symantec VIP application, please follow the instructions here in the link below.  You must be on campus on the Mount Sinai network to register. https://itsecurity.mssm.edu/vip-two-factor-setup/

Step 4

Gmail will open when successfully authenticated.

Gmail Login Through the Apple Mail

Step 1

Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account, then select Google from the list of options.

Step 2

You will be prompted to ”Use Google.com to Sign In”, press Continue.

Step 3

Sign in with your Google email credentials.

Step 4

You will then be brought to the Mount Sinai’s Azure Login page shown below. Enter your email and Click Next and you will see a brief redirect page.

Step 5

You will now see the Mount Sinai Azure Login Page.  Your email address will be prefilled.  Enter your password and click Sign In.  If you have two roles at Mount Sinai, be sure to change the domain to your primary role. Step 6

Step 6

Upon successful authentication, you will be prompted to select options based on your preferences, then gmail will open.
